1977
1977 - METALTRONICA IS FOUNDED

Initially, the company produced radiological equipment but quickly shifted all its innovation toward imaging diagnostics, with a particular focus on mammography systems.

1988 - THE FIRST MAMMOGRAPHY SYSTEM

A breakthrough year highlighted by the commercial launch of Europe's first mammography unit with a high-frequency generator (COMPACT MAMMO HF) and the debut of fully automated exposure technology.

1990 - METALTRONICA BECOMES A LEADING COMPANY

During the 1990s, Metaltronica became a market leader with the FLAT E, which gained iconic status in mammography due to its sleek and innovative design.

2004 - TRANSITION TO DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY SYSTEMS

Supported by substantial investments, Metaltronica initiated a development program to shift from analog mammography to fully digital systems.

2012 - LAUNCH OF HELIANTHUS DBT

Metaltronica launched the new HELIANTHUS DBT digital breast tomosynthesis system: technologically advanced yet designed with careful attention to radiologists’, operators’, and patients’ needs.

2017 - THE COMPACT 2D SYSTEM

Metaltronica launched its ultra-compact and ergonomic 2D mammography system. Careful selection of all components makes it perfect for mobile units or environments with tough climate conditions.

2018 - HELIANTHUS DBT FIELDUPGRADABLE

A 2D mammography system designed for future upgrade to 3D. Metaltronica provided an entry-level solution to achieve excellence in digital mammography.

2019 - THE NEW HELIANTHUS SERIES

One Platform, Three Systems.
Designed to fulfill all diagnostic requirements and support the latest digital mammography imaging techniques.

2024 - CYBELE

The new, revolutionary multimodal system.

2020 GROWTH AND NEW BUILDING

A significant increase in sales, the launch of a state-of-the-art mammography platform in February 2019, and an ambitious sales forecast for 2020 have led to the purchase of the building adjacent to our current facility. This site includes 1,600 m2 of manufacturing and warehousing and a separate office building.
