Secondary Prevention Triumphs with WelfareCare
Metaltronica Renews Its Commitment to the Local Community
“All slots fully booked within just 30 minutes” stated Manuela Troiani, Project Manager of WelfareCare’s “Free Mammogram and Ultrasound” initiative, with satisfaction. The initiative, dedicated to secondary prevention of breast cancer, took place today in Pomezia (Rome), in Piazza Indipendenza.
Metaltronica and WelfareCare: A Valuable Partnership
Metaltronica participated as a Partner, reaffirming its strong commitment to promoting equity in healthcare and spreading a culture of secondary prevention. The company reiterated its mission: to advocate for early diagnosis as the most effective weapon against breast cancer, while actively contributing to the reduction of social inequalities through initiatives that bring healthcare directly to local communities.
The mobile unit was equipped with the Helianthus digital mammography system and operated continuously throughout the day, offering free breast exams to women aged 35 to 49.
With great pride and a deep sense of responsibility, we played our part in the fight against breast cancer, contributing to a project that can truly make a difference in women’s lives by detecting the disease at an early stage.
…a prevention service brought directly to the community…
.
The Mayor of Pomezia, Veronica Felici, emphasized the importance of the initiative in an interview with the magazine Il Pontino Nuovo: “By offering a prevention service directly within the community, right at people’s fingertips, we ensure that even the most vulnerable segments of the population can access essential healthcare.”
