Screening and early detection remain the most effective tools to reduce mortality and social impact.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Breast Cancer Worldwide: Numbers, Impact, and the Central Role of Prevention<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Breast cancer remains one of the most pressing global oncological emergencies. According to the World Health Organization, <b>2.3 million new cases were diagnosed in 2022<\/b> and <b>670,000 women died<\/b> due to the disease. It is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in <b>157 out of 185 countries<\/b>, highlighting how widespread and crosscultural this condition is, affecting all continents, populations, and healthcare systems.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A projection reported by <i>La Repubblica<\/i> (March 14, 2025) further underscores the scale of the issue: <b>by 2025, every minute four women worldwide will receive a breast cancer diagnosis, and one will die from the disease<\/b>. Numbers like these clearly show why prevention\u2014both primary and secondary\u2014must be considered a global priority.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Why Early Detection Is Essential<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A widely underestimated aspect is that <b>majority of cases<\/b> <b>symptoms are not properly evident when breast cancer is still in its early stages<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The ability to identify the disease at an early phase can significantly influence treatment options and quality of life.
